October Festivities

Well it looks like October has come and gone. Like I have said before it seems like these months keep passing every time I blink!

We had a lot of fun this month. Not only is this month my favorite because of all the fun festivities we can do as a family. I love this month because its about the time Las Vegas starts to cool down. Nothing beats making it through another summer in Vegas, especially when you are pregnant.

This month Ryan and I took the boys a couple of times to the pumpkin patch. The boys just had an awesome time at the pumpkin patch. Now that Caleb is a little older he is big enough to go on the gigantic obstacle course jumper thing (not sure what to call that thing). He also got to go on the giant slide all on his own. He just loved it. Unfortunately for Thomas because he is younger and smaller (not by much) he could only go on the slide and he had to be accompanied by Daddy. Nonetheless, Thomas enjoyed the little bit that he got to do at the pumpkin patch.

For whatever reason, Halloween has turned into a month of festivities or week long celebrations. But that's okay, I think its awesome how much more we can do with our kids around here when it comes to this time of the year. The day before Halloween, Ryan and I took the boys to our ward's trunk or treat. The boys just had a wonderful time. The best parts, we didn't have to make dinner, we got lots of candy (not that we needed any), and the boys got to dress up in their costumes. Caleb also had a Halloween party at school. He was so excited about all the goodies he would get to eat with his classmates. On Halloween day, Ryan and I decided to stay in our neighborhood to trick or treat. Unfortunately for me, I am more pregnant now so the idea of walking around the neighborhood with him and chasing the boys was not in my books that night. Actually, I really wasnt feeling good at all that day. Bummer really, since it was my birthday. I guess when you get to a certain point in your pregnancy, you just cant help but be exhausted. Especially if you have two toddlers to care for during the day by yourself.

Here are some pics of our festivities:

Baby Girl!

Yesterday, I had my last high risk ultrasound screening unless my doctor orders more ultrasounds. Good news is baby is still a girl. Yes, despite finding out at 19 weeks a long (my last screening) that baby is a girl I still hesitated to believe that we were actually going to have a baby girl given our record of having boys. Ryan and I are overwhelmed with joy and feel blessed that everything in her anatomy and heart developed properly. I feel more at ease knowing that I have had the ability to carry three healthy babies and not pass on my heart condition to them... I am sure blessed with that comfort.

I also managed to register at the hospital as well yesterday. I am not looking forward to the day I actually have to check in (whenever that will be) because I spent about 10 minutes circling the parking lot just to find parking. I didnt care if the parking spot I found was far from the entrance, I just wanted to park. And because Ryan was meeting me there, it was even more frustrating because we had to circle the parking lot to find parking for two vehicles. All in all, today went well and we accomplished a lot in preparing for the baby.

I give myself about 7 or 8 weeks left until the baby arrives considering she is measuring bigger and I have a history of delivering early. Let's pray she bakes a little longer and that I can manage these intense Braxton Hicks contractions while juggling our two active boys Caleb and Thomas.

Here are a few ultrasound snap shots from the appt, enjoy!

Ending September and Rolling into October!

Family and friends... I have to say September came and went too quickly. But to recap, the Richardson Las Vegas family ended the month of September with another bang! We celebrated Thomas's 2nd birthday. Yes! Can you believe it our little chunky butt is two years old now. Amazing how fast the time has gone by and how quickly our little ones grow. Thomas had a wonderful birthday party with close friends and some family in attendance. Though we wish everyone could be there to celebrate his special day many of you live too far away. So to help you feel like you were there with us, here are a few photos.

Tradition to write Happy Birthday on our Kitchen
