As you all know Caleb turned four in August. Ryan and I decided that since he will begin school next year we wanted to find a good program for Caleb to participate in that will allow him to develop classroom management skills and experience the exposure of socializing with kids his age. Through tons of research we discovered that the cost of preschool is a little over the top like daycare. Fortunately, a friend from church told me about an affordable preschool program offered through the City of Henderson. After much running around to get paperwork filled out with Caleb's pediatrician and dropping paperwork off at rec center I successfully enrolled Caleb into the preschool program before the deadline. Caleb will attend preschool every Tuesday and Thursday for two hours a day. The preschool follows the traditional Clark County School District (CCSD) school calendar.
I will have to confess that its been a hard adjustment knowing he is in preschool already. Time sure does go by so fast, part of me wishes he would just stay a baby, but part of me is happy that he is growing into this little boy that is full of life and what I like to call "the smarts." The first day of preschool was on September 11. I was really worried about the first day because I was not sure how Caleb was going to handle being dropped off and me not staying with him. However, it went much better than I anticipated. He woke up that morning so excited that he picked out his own clothes and got himself dressed without a fuss. He also made sure he had his backpack and that I wrote his name on the inside like requested. He also helped me get clothes for his brother ready. As you can see he was over the top excited! When it came time to drop him off I had to stay strong and control my emotions, which is usually all over the place these days because of this pregnancy. However, I have to say my eyes watered a little but not a tear fell. I held it together. Caleb didnt cry at all and in fact, he ran into his classroom and I said to him "wait mommy needs a kiss." He turned around and said "Ohya, I need to kiss my mommy." What a sweet sweet boy! I just love him so much and feel at ease that he is adjusting well to this new adventure.
We are a busy bunch!
Welcome! Hope you enjoy reading about our little family, our adventures, and our hobbies!

Blinked and August is gone!
Yes, another update that is late, but here is what we did in August...
AUGUST
August was an exciting month for our family because not only did we get to find out what little baby Richardson number 3 will be; we also celebrated Caleb's, had family visit the first part of August, and celebrated again more birthday's on my side of the family.
We kicked off the month of August with a bang. We found out third of August that we are expecting a little baby girl. Yes! Finally, as my Granddad David said "Ryan and I finally got the formula right this time around." We are so excited and happy that we will welcome a baby girl sometime in Dec (hopefully) if not early January if she decides to be fashionably late. We also went back and forth on names but have decided on naming our little munchkin Riley Aurora Richardson. We really wanted an R name so that we could complete our CTR (Choose the Right) kids, C-Caleb, T-Thomas, and R-Riley. So there ya have it folks, we are expecting a little girl... I hope we didn't keep you all waiting too long to hear about this wonderful news.
In early August, we also had a wonderful visit from Ryan's mom Julie and his sister Meghan. Meghan was starting college on the 28th of August, so they had to visit sometime before then and manage to come right before Caleb's birthday. Caleb (and Thomas-though I think he is too young to know otherwise right now) just loves it when his Grandma Julie and Aunt Meghan visit that I had to go through the calendar with him several times to let him know when they were coming. When we went to pick them up from the airport, I didn't tell Caleb who we were picking up. I made it a surprise for him and he was certainly surprised! We decided to celebrate Caleb's birthday while they were out here. We did something small. Bought cupcakes from Walmart's bakery and little decorating toys from Dollar Tree.
On Caleb's actual birthday we had a small gathering with family and friends. We decided on CiCi's pizza, fruit, and salad. My sister Nicole was kind enough to bake Caleb's cake so it was one less thing I had to worry about preparing for Caleb's birthday. The turn out was wonderful and Caleb got some cool new toys. We were happy to see that he is now moving on to bigger boy toys and that his brother Thomas is following right behind him. Here are few pics of his special day:
Our friends Eric and Airline. Caleb is friends with their son
Kaleb.

Also in August, Ryan and I managed to get away on a date night for my sister Nicole's dance groups Polynesian Luau. The luau was a wonderful outing and different than any other date night we have ever had since we have been married. I am actually really thankful we didn't go out for another dinner or movie. It certainly was nice to eat some island grub and watch some island entertainment. I really started to miss home after this night but heck, I miss Guam all the time.
Here is our cute little family. We decided to take a quick pic
with the boys before heading out on our date night.
And last but not least... here is another belly shot I took before heading
out to our Luau date night. I am approximately 22 weeks in this photo.
Enjoy all you belly obsessing lovers!
Hot July!
Yes, this is late but let's get on with it.... here is what we manage to do in July despite the ridiculous heat!
For July, we didn't do a whole lot because of how hot this entire month was for Las Vegas. We did go swimming a few times but rarely made any play dates to have some fun at the local parks. We did make it to some play dates at a few friends homes and the boys just had a blast. For the Fourth of July, we spent the day with the boys as Ryan had the day off. We took them to watch the movie Brave at Town Square, which by the way is now our all time favorite movie theater because we don't have to smell the loads of cigarette smoke like we do walking through the casino's. Also on the Fourth we attended a BBQ that we were invited to by some friends at church. It was a nice small gathering but the boys enjoyed themselves because some of their friends from church were there to play. Also on this day I took a 15 weeks pregnancy shot for the viewing pleasure of my belly obsessing family and friends.

Thomas loves to lounge by the pool steps!

Caleb loves his noodle. He does pretty good on his own
with just his noodle and life vest.
I finally found some time to paint that
chair I bought on craigslist a while back to
make the boys their time out chair.
Yes! My boys need a special chair for time outs!
Thomas fell asleep about 15 minutes left into the
movie. Caleb just had a blast. Though, for Mom and Dad
I don't know when we will be BRAVE enough to take
them to a movie together again :-) It certainly was a lot of
work and handful, but went better than we expected.
Yes, I look just "fat" as Thomas would tell me. But what
you are looking at is my pregnant belly at approximately
15 weeks a long.
