Wow! Has it really been that long since I lasted blogged about our busy life here in Las Vegas... I guess it has been that long?!?!?!
Well for starters, let me update you once again :-)
Ryan- He is still working at CiCi's. Some major changes have been going on, which I cannot reveal just yet, but I hope that these changes bring us the blessings we deserve. He took a break from storage auctioning but plans to get back into it this coming Monday. He is also very busy with the second job-business has picked up but not enough to make it as worthwhile. Though we still work hard at the job because its money we can earn.
Deanna-I am back in school! I know so quick huh? I am currently taking a research and evaluation course, part I. To be honest, I am not liking it one bit! I am finding myself struggling to want to learn the material. I am also keeping busy throughout the week with the boys and watching Elana (Our niece). I feel like I am constantly doing laundry, dishes, and changing diapers. Must be because I am doing all those things...
Caleb-He is exercising his usual terrible two attitude! We are trying to proactively potty train him because he no longer fits size 6 diapers. He still wears them but leaks almost all the time which can be more of a problem for Mommy than for him. He is still in love with Thomas the Train stuff. He has taken a liking to a TV show called Team Umizoomi.
Thomas-He is now 3 months old, rolling over on his side, and teething. We just recently discovered that he might have a milk allergy. I was nursing him, but due to health issues I had to stop. We have him on a soy-based formula, which so far is working okay for him, but I think he still has a sensitive stomach.
Family Update- We have made some awesome new friends who had kids as well at the church we are attending. Ryan and I have decided to start going to church in an effort to seek something new in our lives. We believe this is something that we both need and want to expose our kids too. What brought us to start going to church is all the hardship we have gone through this past year. We are finding that church is soothing and worth our time. We have met some really nice people and are learning lots of new lessons. Everyone is very welcoming. Caleb especially enjoys the nursery time. He gets to play with other kids and learn little lessons. This past Sunday he made a puppet and a cereal necklace... He was so excited that he said, "Mommy I want to do it again."
Well that is about it... I will write some more when I have more time... Thanks for reading!
We are a busy bunch!
Welcome! Hope you enjoy reading about our little family, our adventures, and our hobbies!

Awaiting Our Blessings
I realize its been forever since I last updated everyone on the Richardson family here in Las Vegas. We are almost done with the summer heatwave weather and will be saying goodbye to those three digit temperatures.
Whats happened with the Richardson's since my last post? Let's see....
Caleb-We celebrated his 2nd Birthday on August 14th. He was so pleased with all the gifts he got, especially all the Toy Story stuff and his drum set that Mommy and Daddy insanely decided to get him with the knowledge of Thomas arriving soon. Caleb is still learning to potty, I think its going to take some time but eventually he will get it, right?!
Ryan-Same old same old with this young man. I am not sure where he hides all that energy but he sure has lots of it to stay busy with CiCi's, auctioning storage units to make money, working our slow but somewhat steady 2nd income job, and coordinating our neighborhood garage sales. Not to mention finding time to play his computer games, cell phone games, and the Wii. He has spent some time with Caleb playing handyman and drumming. I think its going to be very interesting once Thomas arrives and Ryan will have two boys to teach the essence of hardworking ethics. He is such a good father and our family is blessed with his presence.
Me-I decided to take a leave of absence from school as we all await the arrival of baby Thomas. Yes, this does push back my graduation date by 60 days but I really want to just have some time to focus on Caleb and welcome our new baby boy! I do not start school again until October 12. I am hoping that Thomas will arrive soon. My due date is Oct 3, but my doctor plans to induce me at 39 weeks which is about 8 days away :-) Either way, Thomas will be here soon and we cannot wait for his arrival. Caleb is so excited and I think its cute that he still believes Thomas is in his belly and not mine.
Our future plans...
Ryan and I have made the decision to spend Thanksgiving again this year in North Dakota. I think we have slowly made it a family tradition. This year we actually plan to drive up there, and I believe this long road trip should be very interesting. We promise we will not try to drive the whole way to ND. We actually plan to take two days to drive up there... Ryan's mom lives in WY which is about 13 hrs from Las Vegas. We plan to stop there then head out the following next morning for another 8 hrs of driving. Either way it should be interesting.
As for Christmas, we plan to spend it here in Las Vegas with family. It will be a small Christmas this year but none the less it will be spent with family.
Well, that is about it that is going on. I will write more once Thomas has arrived and post pictures :-)

Taking in the Summer Heat
We welcomed summer weather a few months back and we are just starting to get use to the sporadic heat waves that hit our valley. We try to get out for some fresh air as much as we can without feeling overly heated. Fortunately our little chunkiness Caleb is an outdoor kid. The three digit weather that we have been experiencing these past few weeks does not phase him. He loves to be outside no matter the weather conditions. Unfortunately, I (Deanna) cannot stand the heat with my current pregnancy condition so Daddy (Ryan) volunteers to stay out longer with Caleb to keep him happy.

Busy Richardson's
Hello Everyone... It has been weeks since I last posted what has been going on in the house hold.
Here are a few updates on all of us...
Caleb
He is now reciting his ABC's and 123's. He loves to play his app games on our iPhone's. He has two app's in particular that he enjoys. One teaches shapes and the other teaches how to spell words. He is also starting to become more observant of my growing belly. He say's hello to his baby brother every morning. He knows the word brother, but we are not sure if he understands the concept of a sibling yet.
We also just recently had to buy him a new pair of shoes, our lil champ now wears a size 8. Just back in March we had purchased him a pair of brown sandals that were size 6. They fit about 1 1/2 inches too big, then the other day his toes were hanging over the front :-( Our lil champ is getting bigger by the minute.
He is running more and more, and starting to be a little bit more tougher to handle around the house. He has some how learned to defy us! He knows the concept of "yes" and "no," guess which one he chooses to use the most??!?!?! That is right, he chooses to tell us "no" most of the time when we ask him to do things.
He is getting better with clean up around the house. We have recently turned our spare/guest room into the boys play room. We decided to keep Caleb's old nursery the same for the new baby that is coming. We figured that Caleb would be very curious and want to spend more time brother.
Ryan
My hardworking husband and dedicated father. He has been very busy this week with CiCi's. Another manager is on vacation, so he is working longer hours with his district manager. Today we celebrated his 27th birthday. I made him pineapple upside down cake for dessert and then for lunch I made Polynesian pork meatballs with Calrose white steamed rice. He enjoyed it very much. We did not get him that many presents as he pretty much has everything. I decided on something simple and got him work socks. He is always on his feet, so I remembered to make sure the socks were very comfy. Caleb and I found some very inexpensive black socks at Ross that were very soft and comfy. I am sure Ryan's feet will be happy until he wears them down.
Ryan has also been very busy proactively working on our deck in the back yard. The deck is something we both decided to put in as it was more affordable than laying concrete. We also plan to grow the grass back. Caleb needs a back yard to play in, and this is a project that we plan to complete before the end of June. Caleb will have his backyard for the summer.
Me
I just ended my week break from school. I am officially back in school tomorrow morning. I am sort of excited to be back in the routine of school because I felt like I was not busy enough during my week break. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it to the fullest :-) My next class is MGT 307-Organization Behavior and Group Dynamics. I think it will be an interesting class. It seems that the material is this class followed my previous MGT 330 course.
I am now 22 weeks pregnant and the lil champ inside me dances all day long and through the night. I have not been able to find a comfortable position while sleeping at night. I am battling heart burn or acid reflux issues like I did with Caleb. The other night it was pretty bad for me. I barely got any sleep as the bed was uncomfortable and the tums did not kick in.
I see my doctor this Friday for prenatal visit, then we have another ultrasound next Friday to see how the baby is growing and to check the heart. The last ultrasound our lil champ would not stop moving so the ultra tech and doctor did not really have a chance to get a better look at his heart.
In the coming weeks, I will be keeping myself busy with organizing the baby stuff and getting items registered at Target that we need for this new baby. BTW... this entire blog I have been referring to the baby as little brother, baby boy, etc... I failed to mention, we have actually already decided on a name.
The thing is, doctors told us at the beginning that they were 85% baby was a girl. Then when we went in later for our second ultrasound, they determined, that the baby is indeed a BOY! Ryan and I had an agreement that if we had another boy, we would name him Thomas. Therefore, since we not expecting a girl like we though, our new son will be named Thomas Scott Richardson.
Well that is about all that is going on these days. We are busy as usual and just hanging in there :-) Life is grand as long as we have each other.
Will post more updates as they happen. We love you family and friends!

The Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat
We had a funfilled family day with Caleb and his cousin Elana at the Mirage hotel. We finally found sometime to use our free adult passes to get into the Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat. It was amazing to watch the beautiful dolphins entertain all the people who came to see them at the habitat. Because Ryan's buddy was there working he was able to get us a VIP experience. Guess what?!?!?!? We got to go on the pool deck and pet Maverick the dolphin. He was approximately 10 to 11 years old and was less experienced with tricks, but we thought he did just as good as the other dolphins. The oldest dolphin at the habitat is approximately 30 years old. So far since the habitat opened in the early 1990's, they have had three dolphin births.
We also got to walk around and see the wild cats. I most particularly enjoyed the view of the leopard. The white tigers were beautiful as always. The lions were a little funny. Let's just say they were acting "too friendly" with each other. I accidently took a picture of this "too friendly" activity and realized after what these two wild cats were doing and decided to delete it because it is not a picture I particularly want to have in my album.
Caleb enjoyed seeing the dolphins and the wild cats. I think we might take him there again when he is a little older so that he understands it more.

Caleb's 2nd Easter
The Easter bunny brought Caleb some delightful treats! He got a new wooden train set which he calls "Jack", tons of plastic eggs filled with assorted goodies, three books, an Easter bunny stuff animal, a monkey magnet, and best of all his size 4 real soccer ball to kick around :-) Shhh... do not tell him, but we had to convince the Easter bunny to give him his soccer ball early so we can play kick outside together as a family. Ryan had to work on Easter so he was not there to see Caleb's reaction to his treats from the Easter bunny. We spent a good part of the day at Auntie Nikki's house eating lunch and hanging out. Caleb enjoyed playing with his cousin's Elizabeth and Elana.

Our Growing Family
Ryan and I have been waiting to inform most of our family and friends till we had a few appointments. Great news! We are expecting another little one. Today we had an appointment with The Center for Maternal Fetal Medicine. We had an early ultrasound done and so far our little bundle of joy is growing healthy. I am measuring at 3 months and possibly carrying a baby girl. The doctor and ultrasound tech said that they are both 85% sure that we are having a baby girl. We will not get our hearts set on the exciting news of having a baby girl until we know for sure in May, which is when our next appointment is scheduled. Although I must say my stomach is turning because I am ecstatic that I will have my boy and my girl. Ryan and I both said, if indeed the baby is a girl we are "done for the day." (Meaning done having kids)
Comedy for the day: During the ultrasound Caleb pointed to the screen then pointed at me and said "Mommy Uh-oh." I asked him later today why he said "uh-oh" about his possible sister :-) and he said "Mommy Oh-no." He is just the cutest. I know he will be the best big brother whether we have a boy or girl!
Caleb
Our little monkey is no longer little. He is getting bigger every day. He is more daring too. He loves to climb, jump, and run. He makes his daily messes around the house with toys everywhere. I cannot count the many times I have stepped on wooden blocks, Lego's, and hot wheels.
He is due for another hair cut and we are planning on waiting to get that done when his Grandma Julie and Aunt Meghan come into town, which we are hoping soon. :-) They need to visit when the weather is nice. Then by the time one of our Guam families (The Balbastro's) come into town, Caleb can get his hair cut again with Andre :-)
Since the weather has been nice here in Las Vegas, aside from the occasional rain and wind, I was able to snap a few shots of Caleb playing outside.
